About Rhoda's Place
As a child I was not a fan of your typical cakes with icing or frosting that covered up the rich flavors that I believe a cake should give. I enjoyed a good sweet bread (ie: zucchini bread, honey almond loaf, etc) filled with cinnamon, nutmeg, or cardamom. Nothing beats this aroma!
Growing up in Jamaica, I recall eagerly holding my barely reaching chin at the countertop watching my mother scurry up the best puddings, and cakes on our side of town. My mother was the "go to" baker for any church function. Fast forward 2015, Rhoda's Place (mom's namesake) was established from my love for comfort baked sweet treats and in memory of my mom.
